New H-1B Petitions for FY 2007 May Now Be Filed (4/1/06)

As most of you know, FY 2007 begins October 2, 2006. Nonimmigrant petitions may be filed up to six months in advance of the intended start date. Therefore, new H-1B petitions, which will count against the new Fiscal Year quota, may be filed as early as April 1, 2006, with a start date of October 1, 2006.
